20 Chapters Join GrantStation

Greetings from GrantLessons, we have 22 followers. This week I heard from the first follower who has successfully submitted her first grant. Congratulations! The follower now has collected all the information to repeat the process and submit her second grant. Submitting a grant a month will soon become a very easy step for her to do. In fact, I encourage submitting the second grant so she continues to exercise her new skills.

20 Chapters have now submitted their fee to National Assistance League and soon will receive their username and password to be able to access GrantStation. After logging on the members will be able to click a few buttons and find potential grantors for their programs. A short video on the GrantLessons Blog demonstrates how easy this is to do. Check out the YouTube video,  at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HH9wP4vRbXs&feature=channel&list=UL .

Really good news our local chapter received a grant for $50,000 to support the Links to Learning Program. Let’s generate some buzz by letting us all know when you receive  grant funding so we can all smile at the success. Posting a little early this week since I am sitting in a hotel in East Lansing, Michigan on the way to having more fun.

So catch me when you can and I will catch up with you soon. Sandie

Checking out Resources on the Blog

Greetings from GrantLessons, we have 21 followers. Chapters are signing up for GrantStation and soon will be joining us on GrantLessons as they want to learn more about how to use GrantStation. Form 990 is a key component in learning about grantors that are identified by GrantStation. Guidestar provides information about Form 990 and it is free. There is a video on the Blog that identifies important elements on the Form 990. The challenge for the week is to pull up your Chapter’s Form 990. You will need to go to www.guidestar.com and sign up for a free account. After signing up for a free account search the database for your Chapter’s Form 990, open the document up and review the elements described in the video. After you are done reviewing the Form 990 you can save it to your Chapter’s Dropbox account. Okay the challenge is on, let us know if you are successful.

So catch me when you can and I will catch up with you soon. Sandie

Testing Continues

Greetings from GrantLessons, we continue with 19 followers. One follower asked me if I was posting every week since she had not received an email. The email may be going to her spam filter. Please simply hit the comment button and tell me you have received an email with this message. If you do not send a comment, I will send a specific email to you asking if you are receiving emails. Thanks for helping me test that the email feature on the GrantLessons Blog is working. Hopefully, this is the last test I will need to do to ensure that the blog is working as intended.

So catch me when you can and I will catch up with you soon. Sandie

Getting to Know Followers – Starting a Conversation

Greetings from GrantLessons, we continue with 19 followers. Now that we have 19 followers, I would like to get to know who is following GrantLessons. This week I would like to ask that you make a comment and let the rest of us know your first name and which Assistance League Chapter you are from. We can start the conversation by answering an open-ended question. Please let us know what you hope to gain from following GrantLessons?

So catch me when you can and I will catch up with you soon. Sandie
